Geez, where the hell to begin...
Well, this year's Fanime was much more thought out on my part, with a lot of planning going into it. Let's first start with the dumb things I did....
First I forgot to bring more than $20 in cash with me, contact lens solution, emergency repair supplies, and homework to work on. Made a return trip on Friday afternoon to get Zero's Xbox and said missing items, and in the processes left my Demyx wig at home. So I didn't do any Demyx cosplay this con, sorry guys. Later this year I plan on returning to SJ to do some photos with him though, and I'll be at AX. Continuing on...
I brought a lot of food with me. Several types of cereal and milk, bread, mac n cheese, lots of cookies, and tons of soda. I was planning on having a get-together at con but plans fell through since there never seemed to be time for me to invite everyone over, cause everyone was going to events. What I get for trying to plan and comply with everyone. So msot of the food came right back home with us, but I figure cheeper than going pout to eat. Speaking of which...
On Sunday I decided I wanted to go to Quiznos, and Zero made me think the one I went to before was gone, so I used my GPS unit to walk to the closest one it could find, half a mile from our hotel. So here we were walking through downtown and we get to the location, only to find the place is gone. Nothing fucking there but a Starbucks. Checked the thingie and it says the Starbucks was right next to the Quiznos. Must have been old software ~_~. So I was pissed, I just wanted a fucking sandwich. Zero wandered off and found a place called the Old Spaghetti Factory, so we headed in for a lovely meal. Beautiful building, probably was a church or mission and delicious food, I must say, and I am damn picky about what goes in my mouth.
We headed back after that and Zero wanted to have his street fighter xbox faceplate signed, so we waited 2 hours to get Reuben Langdon's autograph. I was dressed as gijinka-maid Blissey at the time and he was fascinated by my egg for some reason. Not sure what to say about that, other than ok...
Overall I suppose I can say I'm not very satisfied how things went. Trying to find friends and acquaintances is harder than herding cats apparently, barely seeing any one person for more than 10 minutes. I felt like I wasn't wanted, was being ignored, or simply people didn't care either way. I doubt any one of my friends did this intentionally, but it still hurt. Sure, cons are about meeting new people who love the same thing you do, but aren't they also about reuniting with people from the past? Maybe I am putting too much thought into this, but every time this happens I feel like maybe I should just save my money and quit going to cons.

Costuming wise, I'm happy with how Blissey turned out, now with my new spiffy egg. People thought I was a Chansey, but hey, at least it's the same evolutionary family. I was quite happy with how Zoey came out also. I got rather pissed that while Zero was spotted as Bill several times for pictures, I was standing right next to him as Zoey and was ignored ~_~. Stupid fuckers, just because Zoey is less obvious than having a white hairspray and makeup beard doesn't mean I'm not trying just as hard, I even had the fucking Medkit. next time must find prop guns that can be held at cons instead of trying to bring my stripped Airsoft stuff. Cause hell, if they tried peacebonding Zero's resin plastic Vash gun to the holder just because of a obvious bolt hinge when the trigger doesn't even move, my airsoft pistons don't stand a chance. At least I had a Molotov though.

Well, hopefully Anime Expo be a better experience this year, else I'll have to drop my standards from low to none @_@
